"Kisses for Carrie"

Donation protected
We are organizing this for a coworker in the operating room at a local hospital. Her name is Carrie Kehn. She is a 31 year old Scrub Technician, who was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare blood disorder. Carrie was diagnosed with Plasma Cell Dyscrasia which is a form of Light Chain Deposition Disease (LCDD). This is considered a cancer of the blood. Her treatment will include continuous chemotherapy, creation of a fistula for her dialysis (she has a port inserted for now due to poor kidney function), bone marrow transplant and eventually a kidney transplant. Due to her extensive treatment, Carrie will be out of work for an unknown period and she and her husband, George Lyons, will be faced with very expensive financial burdens. We as her coworkers feel this is a great opportunity to get the word out on her condition and help her during this time of need. Please help us help Carrie during this difficult time within our community and from near and far. Anything is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
