The Mr. Gill Fund

Hi My name is Hannah and I am asking for your help for my father, Mr. Stephen Gill. Mr. Gill was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a Muscular Neron disease that effects the voluntary motion, it is an inherited disease and very rare. Over the past few years he has slowing been losing strength and control of his legs and feet. He has trouble walking and standing up and he has to use a walker to get around. When he was diagnosed I decided to move myself and daughter to be with him and take care of our "PopPop". We have been managing to keep him in his master bedroom UPSTAIRS but has become extemely difficult to help him up the stairs by myself. My biggest fear is us both falling backwards down the stairs. He spends most of his time in his room and only gets out once a week if he is feeling strong enough. It makes me so sad that he is unable to get out and enjoy thing he once did. So I am asking for your help to raise enough money to make our home more accessible for him. We only have a few options. (Unfortunatly moving is not an option for us) First option is to get a chairlift for the stairs which is very expensive because of the curve at the top of the stairs.This would allow him to stay in his room. Second option is to convert the formal dinning room and half bathroom downstairs to a bedroom and handicap bathroom. 
I just want my Father to be able to enjoy our home and have a better quality of life. Please find it in your heart to help us ! We thank you in advance for any donation or contribution you are able to offer.
