Help Lee See Her Mom One Last Time
It has been way too long, and now it's a race against the clock, or it will be too late. This is about my mom, Leonora Cacabelos. She is one of the strongest people I will ever know in my life.
Lee moved here from the Philippines to America when she was in her 30's and has been living here ever since. Lee is a single mom and works 2 jobs. During the day she works for Hospice and in the evening she works at an assisted living facility. She barely gets time off to relax. A few days ago she found out her mom, who lives in the Philippines, went to the hospital. She has a spot on her lung. Right now she is back home and on oxygen. She isn't expected to make it much longer. Lee hasn't seen her mom in over 20 years since she has lived here in the US.
I will try to raise as much money as I can so she can go home and see her mom one last time. The cost of going to the Philippines on short notice is very expensive and something she cannot afford right now, not to mention the other expenses with transportation. All the remaining money will go towards funeral and hospitalization costs for the family.
