Emergency Custody of Children

The Anderson family is a blended family with 6 children and 1 grandchild.  Marc's 2 biological children primarily live in Lexington, SC with their biological mother.  This week, we became aware of a situation that Marc's ex-wife has been keeping from us.  She and her current husband are divorcing and she has begun using drugs.  We were contacted by Marc's ex-mother-in-law and were told that she had removed the children from the home on Sunday and were keeping them with her.  Unfortunately to legally remove the children from the home into our care, we must go through the proper court channels.  We have filed for an emergency change of custody and have contacted child protective services in their county.   Because of the time of year, we have no extra funds for lawyer fees.  We have been battling this heart breaking situation all week and will be getting the children for visitation this weekend.  We ask for your prayers and for any kind of support that you can give.  I have never seen my husband so hurt and helpless.  You can help through this link or through Venmo at Elizabeth-Anderson-2014.  Many of you know that we have been in a legal fight with Marc's ex-wife but the court system protects the mother.  We have an uphill battle but need to get these precious children in a safe, loving environment.

UPDATE-  Up side: DSS is still investigating.  Down side:  The judge denied our emergency request and has scheduled a court hearing in January.  We have dealt with Marc's ex for years and have put money into lawyers only for her to lie her way out of everything.  We have solid proof but know that this will be an emotional and expensive fight.  Our lawyer fees are piling up.  We need your prayers more than ever as we are losing our faith.
