Caring for the Cusin’s

Donation protected
Hello!

Dear Family and Friends.

As most of you know our Best Friend Heather and her Husband Micheal (or Burger) recently welcomed Baby Michael to their Family.
Michael was born with Down Syndrome unbeknownst to Heather and Burger.

Michael spent his first 17 days in the NICU generating an enormous medical bill and stress.

Don’t think this stopped them in anyway. With Annabelle and Gabrielle at home there was no time to think about it, it was just do it.
Making this new crazy life work.
Beeping monitors, crying babies, no sleep and all.

Recently, Heather has been working evening shifts at a local restaurant to help make ends meet. Burger works as a Electrician with Local 26, spending many days and nights away from his Home, Wife and Babies to be the most amazing provider he can be.

If you know the Martin Family, you’re pretty lucky. They are a pretty amazing group of people.
Heather is always first to help anyone.
For 20+ years we’ve watched our friend at countless fundraisers, walks, bake sales, yardsales, memorials, funerals, etc.....
Always being there for someone else...

So, why are we here you ask???

Monday night Heather noticed Michael having a seizure. She calls his Dr who tells her to go immediately to Georgetown.
The texts came late in the evening letting us know they were headed to DC with our Little Buddy.

It’s Thursday and our Buddy is still at Georgetown undergoing test.
His brain is showing seizure activity but Michael is not having all visible seizures. They are working on getting his medication worked out in hopes they can control the seizures.
His diet will also now be altered, along with his formula. Which Heather informed me is quite a bit more then his current formula.

Obviously this is a financial burden for the Cusin’s Family.
Heather is not able to work and Burger is going in circles between home, work and the hospital.

If we could help them out just alittle I know they would be extremely grateful.  Even if it’s adding them to your prayer list.

We believe in our community
We believe in the Power of Prayer
We believe in Love
We believe in Family
Mostly,  and more importantly, we believe in God.
We believe He will carry Heather and Burger through this bump in the road.

This gofundme will be donated in its entirety to the Cusin’s Family.
