7th Grade GMSAA FBU TEAM NATIONALS

Donation protected
I would like to introduce to you our Football University (FBU) 7th grade team for
Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA). The team consists of 35
elite, highly skilled football athletes—representing 17 high schools from across
GMSAA through their feeder program—who are competing in the FBU National
tournament. The FBU National Championship tournament celebrates and
promotes youth football through uniting all-star athletes of all backgrounds from
across the United States in a truly one-of-a-kind, weeklong, national tournament.
The annual FBU National Championship crowns a national champion from
brackets in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The FBU National Championship
provides the best representation of talent from all across the country and
showcases the very top of the talent pool each year in what has come to be
recognized as the best glimpse into the next generation of elite football
prospects.
In 2016, GMSAA 6th was predicted nationally to be the top seed in the nation.
Because of a few hiccups, we did not advance, and the team vowed to come back
stronger and wiser in 2017. In November, the 2017 7th grade FBU team for
GMSAA took the field for practice. December 2, they set out to compete in the
first rounds at a chance to advance on to Nationals in Naples. After competing
against a top-four contender, Kentucky, and against GFL—a team known to win
championships—GMSAA won the first 2 rounds and were crowned Southeast
Champs. Now, they will advance to quarterfinals, which are held December 17-
21, 2017, in Naples, Florida.
GMSAA 7th Grade FBU team made history as THE FIRST TRUE GEORGIA MIDDLE
SCHOOL to advance to Nationals.

As a team, we are attempting to raise the funds necessary to allow the GMSAA
FBU team a chance to showcase their talents in Florida. As you can imagine, due
to the cost of travel and lodging, we have a high overhead. We have 35 athletes, 5
coaches, and families for whom we would like to raise the necessary funds.
Funding from businesses would cover travel, lodging, and any equipment necessary to make their
trip successful and allow them to bring the trophy home to the state of Georgia.
We understand that sponsorships can be costly, and you don’t give out
sponsorships to just anyone who solicits your business. In return for your
sponsorship, we would like you to know that our athletes will be playing under
national exposure, which includes televised exposure. We would instruct the
children and parents to mention the businesses whenever possible and
appropriate. Additionally, any business that is able to sponsor $500 or more to
the 7th Grade GMSAA FBU team will receive a team plaque for display on their
business walls.
It is clear through excellent reputation that booster clubs and local businesses
are champions for supporting underfunded middle school programs and
financially less-fortunate athletes. The GMSAA FBU team hopes we can offer the
opportunity to extend that commitment further. On behalf of the student
athletes, the coaches, and the families, we thank you for considering this
proposal of sponsorship.
