My wife Carrie and I married June 2nd 2007, while serving in the Army in Alaska. We have three beautiful girls Emma, Ella, and Evelyn, ages 5, 3, and 1. I proudly served in the Army 10 years and completed four combat tours to Djibouti, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. After this I decided to get out of the Army to spend more time with my family as I missed the birth of my 2nd child while in Afghanistan. I promised my oldest daughter Daddy would never leave her again, and I am keeping that promise!
When my wife was 18, she was diagnosed with Crohns Disease and also had pancreatitis twice, which the Dr's now believe it was auto-immune pancreatitis and not acute. My wife has been very sick since this last thanksgiving and Dr's could not figure out what was wrong with her. After tons and tons of blood work and appointments with different specialists, she has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The medicine she is on makes it hard for her to care for herself or our children. In addition she has been getting fevers that are only explained by her auto-immune deficiencies with crohns. Since I work full time, I rely on her to take care of our three daughters as childcare is too expensive.
We've had to clear out our savings to fly family members into help care for the children since when I missed work it was leave without pay under FMLA. After missing work and medical bills that still have not paid, we currently have a $3100 need to pay off these medical bills. We have insurance but our deductible and co-insurance is what is making up this balance not including a monthly charge of a medication costing $302 a month since it is not covered by our insurance.
Please consider contributing if you can. Any amount will help us reach our goal to pay these huge expenses. If you can't give, that's okay.
