As most of you know I have three boys ages 8, 5 and 3 and a wonderful husband who hole heartily supports me. I'm primarily a stay at home mother who works PT jobs to help support the family financially. I love caring for my boys, reading and yoga!
This August I was diagnosed with a localized re-occurrence of breast cancer. My first diagnosis was in 2017 and since then I have had a double mastectomy, reconstruction and have been taking Tamoxifen. I will be having surgery to remove the cancer in the Fall of this year and possibly chemotherapy, depending on cancer pathology and radiation.
For this round of cancer I have change my outlook of battling the cancer as if it is a war, me against it but to healing the cancer as it is me.
To help me do this I would like to use holistic modalities which are not covered by my insurance. These include a variety of therapies, such as nutrition and lifestyle counseling, dietary modifications, supplementation, intravenous vitamin C and other substances, oxidative therapies, immunotherapy, detoxification, lifestyle modifications and exercise therapy, spirituality and mind-body techniques, including stress management and meditation, all with the goal of strengthening my immune system and restoring normal cellular function provided by places such as the Magaziner center.
I have already started making dietary changes am now eating vegan and gluten free and have given up coffee. I am committed to getting and staying healthy. I know God has a bigger plan for me.
