Gracie, who has cerebral palsy, and her parents have returned to live in Boulder City at her grandparents house. Gracie’s currently sharing the largest of the bedrooms with her Mom and Dad sleeps on the sofa in the living room. Gracie’s 12 years old now and is unable to walk and spends most of her time each day in her wheelchair so freedom to spend time alone is a huge desire of hers. The family wants to add on to their home so that Gracie can have a room of her own. She has an almost ten year old mobility van which has extremely weak A/C and an assortment of mechanical issues as well. She is in need of equipment, such as a special tricycle which helps to stop the atrophy which is a part of the progression of her disease. Getting any physical, speech or occupational therapy requires leaving Boulder City and her insurance only covers a miniscule amount so we’re always looking for ways to keep her body active.
