Community Cats

I rescued Punkin in Kemah during my morning run in 2015.  He was starving, full of mange, and on his last leg.  He let me pick him up and carry him a mile to my car.  I knew there were more cats and kittens that needed help.  I started a trap neuter and release program (TNR) to help the colony of cats in Kemah.  There are 70+ with about a dozen females that are pregnant.  Many of the males have mange and are spreading it to the colony.  In order to trap, I had to set up feeding stations  and provide food, traps, housing for recovery of the cats once they are spayed and neutered, the cost of spay and neutering, and any additional vet bills that are not covered at the spay and neuter clinic.  The cats at Kemah and surrounding area need food, medical attention, treatment for mange and fleas, rabies shots and to be spayed and neutered so that their colonies do not get out of control.

I wish all these cats had a loving home but since you cannot adopt out feral cats or attempt to domesticate them, they deserve to be cared for and fed.  The kittens deserve a chance but their mothers are fighting for food and suffering from mange.  They need to be fixed so that no more litters come into this world where they fight starvation, disease, abandonment and a miserable life.  Help me to help these cats in need.  

The black cat above, Ella, had mange so bad on her head, neck and shoulders but here she is after treatment and in recovery.
It cost about $125 to take care of all her needs.  I am grateful for any help!
