Rocky (pic left) is a New York City Certified Service Dog. At about 8 years old, this Siberian Husky has lived in a string of homes- caring for needy families throughout the NYC area. Rocky and his 15-year old sister, Roxie (pic right) are considered permanent wards of the Siberian Husky Club of Greater New York, Inc. by default and abandonment, and Rocky is in desperate need of your help. After working so hard for so long, after battling abandonment, rescue and rehoming, Rocky has a new challenge: cancer.
ROCKY NEEDS YOUR HELP. WITHOUT NECESSARY FUNDS ROCKY IS IN GRAVE DANGER OF LOSING HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER.
Rocky has completed a thorough series of pre-op tests at West Hills Animal Hospital under the personal hands-on supervision of Dr. J. Coren-- The good news? Rocky's chest is clear and there has been no cancer spread to that area. The bad? The cancer is not benign and appears to have hit a lymph node on his right side. His sonogram also shows that there is a 1'(2cm) tumor in Rocky's liver. He has been moved to a specialist care center in Long Island where Dr. Carver, a veterinary surgeon has assessed treatment options; currently the estimated cost to save Rocky is around $6500!

What can be worse for a Siberian Husky dedicated to the care of the disabled and elderly? Not only is Rocky fighting a growing tumor, the surgery, and post-op treatment exceeds our club's credit line and treasury.
