Jesus Montoya Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Update: February 22, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jesus Montoya. He passed Monday evening in the company of his kids, wife and mother. Jesus will always be remembered for all the great moments and the magic he created on and off the stage. He will continue to be in our hearts and his memory will forever live.

Heartbroken does not begin to describe how the family feels right now. They deeply appreciate the overwhelming support from those that have reached out and/or donated. We will continue to organize this GoFundMe effort for the Montoya family as they deal with this tragedy. All proceeds will be used to support immediate funeral proceedings, medical bills accumulated over the years and financial care for the family. All donations, small or large, are greatly valued and will help improve the future for the Montoya family.

The family will be sharing more details shortly. Please message us privately for information on how to send your condolences directly to the family.

Rest in Peace, Maestro!

-----------------------------------------------------

Our friend and flamenco maestro Jesus Montoya's health has taken a turn for the worse. A few months ago his leg was amputated, a pacemaker was implanted, and now Jesus and his family have shared that his diabetes, heart condition and other health issues are terminal and he is in hospice.

Please share messages of support and love, and donate whatever you can to help pay for all the accumulated high medical bills and to provide for his 3 kids and mother Antonia (who also has been in and out of the hospital). Jesus and his family are more than grateful for everything everyone has done for them over the years.

For those that may not know him: Jesus Montoya currently resides in Long Beach, CA but he is from Seville, Spain. Born into one of the oldest Gypsy families, Jesus was steeped in flamenco purity and power, earning him the name 'El Rey Del Fandangos Grande' at age 7. Before he was a teenager, he started his professional singing and touring career. An accomplished recording artist as well, in 2007 he was a double Grammy winner through his participation in "Aindamar: Fountain of Tears". Here is a video of his singing and amazing arte.
