<div>If you have had the privilege of knowing or meeting Amanda, you know that sincerity, kindness and thoughtfulness are just a few of her most admirable qualities, I honestly don't think I could list them all. Full of life and love for the Lord and others are what makes her such an incredible friend which is why watching her suffer from aggressive and debilitating lupus is absolutely heart breaking. She has an incredible support system with her family but her lupus is attacking her body at an alarming rate.

<div>In 2016 she was diagnosed with Lupus and that slowly damaged her organs causing her to have severe Pulmonary Hypertension, right side heart failure and renal failure. She has ascites where fluid builds up in her stomach and she has had to have 14 parencentesis to drain her stomach. She finally got a peritenial port placed in her stomach so she can drain herself and she has started at home dialysis. She is hoping for a transplant but has to get all of her diseases under control first. She has to go back and forth to Birmingham at UAB Hospital for lots of testing, procedures, and treatments. Its very costly. Amanda is about to be admitted for about 2 weeks for treatments and will have to be away from home. She asks for prayers for her as well as her husband and sons during this time. Expenses are piling up , she is of course unable to work ...some days she cant even close her fist and barely move around. Her number one supporter, her husband Mark is working to provide , get her to appointments and take care of their amazing son with special needs Riley. Please pray for him as being apart from her is very hard for both of them.

<div>Ive known Amanda and had the privilege of calling her my best friend for over 30 years and she finally agreed to let me make others aware of her condition and current needs. So many people love her and would want to help but yall know Amanda, she could be on her 7th hospital stay , on oxygen and having to use a mobility scooter yet she will call and ask how you are doing. Never complaining, always thinking of others even during what I can imagine is one of the hardest seasons of her life. I, Julie ask that you please number 1 pray , pray pray ! And 2. Consider giving financially to help ease the burden for Amanda and her family.
