Douglas Thron Drone Animal Rescue

In California and Oregon now rescuing animals after the fires. Below is places I’ve been working as well. Back in the United States now rescuing animals after Hurricane Laura with infrared drones. Australia’s wildlife urgently needs to be rescued after these disastrous fires. After months in Bahamas rescuing animals I’m now on Australia with my custom infrared drone and hand held thermal imaging unit aiding the rescue crews at finding the animals as quick as possible. My use of this technology has saved so many animals in Bahamas after the hurricane, in California after the fires, and now the endangered animals of Australia. Your help is greatly appreciated and all funds go toward supplies, plane tickets, and related expenses. Below is a recent video done by the Weather Channel about my drone animal rescue work and shows how amazing well it works at finding them quickly. Also the dodo did a wonderful Instagram video on the the rescue of my first pup via drone from the Bahamas just recently: —————————————— Original campaign info below: For the past two weeks, I’ve been delivering aid to the Bahamas islands struck by Hurricane Dorian. Just recently they started allowing the public back onto Abaco Island, one of the hardest hit areas. As a professional aerial cinematographer, I’ve covered many of the biggest natural disasters in recent times including the Paradise and Santa Rosa, California fires, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen a place as destroyed as Marsh Harbour.

The islands of the Bahamas were hit by a Category 5 hurricane, with winds up to 185 mph for over 40 hours! While delivering aid and filming the destruction in an effort to bring public awareness, I spotted numerous dogs and cats with my drones and quickly realized this was the most effective way of finding these poor animals before it’s too late. The mountains of debris make it very challenging to find these animals. I have come back to the U.S. to gather more supplies to aid in the rescue of these desperate animals. An infrared drone would help me spot the animals faster in the sea of debris and destruction. I also plan to bring over a 4-wheeler or dirt bike to get around since many of the roads are still unreachable by cars.

I have been working with multiple rescue groups in the Bahamas that said these tools would help with rescue missions immensely. With your support, I plan to be out there as long as it takes to get these animals to safety. My budget includes a custom infrared drone, an ATV with cages, lodging, gas, plane flights, and food supplies. I was named as one of PETA's 2018 Persons of the Year, and am very experienced with animal rescue missions during California disasters and hope to have a huge impact in the Bahamas with your help. Please watch the video for an example of a recent Bahamas dog rescue made possible with the drones. Marsh Harbour Dog Rescue
