We are building capacity in emergency medicine in areas where it is needed most. Our registered not for profit is a collaboration between Canadian, American and Tanzanian physicians dedicated to establishing the discipline of emergency medicine in Tanzania. We run short courses that are hands on and skills based to help providers of emergency care in Tanzania to build upon their skills. We also sponsor local Tanzanian physicians to obtain their residency in emergency medicine.
From 2018-2021 we sponsored Dr Kisanga to obtain an emergency medicine residency. In the entire country of Tanzania, a country of 59 million people, when EM Global started, there were only 40 physicians who had residency training in emergency medicine. That's only 40 doctors for a country twice the population of Canada.
When you invest in supporting a local doctor to obtain this training, you are investing in the mind, heart, and hands of someone who will make a huge impact and who will treat thousands of patients in his or her career.

Emmanuel is now practicing at KCMC in Northern Tanzania. He is making a difference! This group and his own courage, commitment and strength has seen him through.
We are now sponsoring Ms Angela Mbise to become a physician. We helped her obtain a grade 12 year abroad in Canada so far. She passed her final year with flying colors. Now she has returned to Tanzania and is applying to medical school. Stay tuned for more photos and videos on Angela!
