Raising Funds for Baby Joshua
I have created this page in hopes of raising some funds to help my dear friends and their precious new son Joshua. John and Laura were married in March of 2013, it would be months later when they would welcome their first son and bundle of joy, Joshua. Joshua was born with many unforseen complications and spent the first 2 months of his life in the NICU. In his 9 months on this earth he has already survived 5 major surgeries and has many more battles to overcome. Most newlyweds start their life together establishing credit and buying a home. However, these new parents have spent their first year of their marriage dedicated to the survival of firstborn child and are now facing close to $250,000 in medical debt. Laura (Joshua's Mom) has had to resign her career to take care of Joshua fulltime and they are now surviving on just John's income. They are struggling to pay the $573.25 insurance monthly premium plus rent, utilities, etc. and not to mention the $50.00 co-payment per specialist, which are crucial for his development and fighting delays. He currently has 8 specialists which he visits on a monthly basis.
My Hopes for the Future
I hope to raise enough money to relieve the debt of these two loving parents, who in my book are true soldiers of faith. Through all of this I have never known them to complain or ask ,"why me?" They simply continue doing the best they know how, working hard and praying even harder. Let us show them what true inspiration they really are by not only helping treat Joshua, but by helping to grow an awareness and appreciation to parents all over the world with similar stories.
Thanks Bunches,
