Mighty Sirius was born March 15, 2014... 15 weeks early. This amazing boy weighed a mere 1 lb 10 oz. That's the same as 6 ½ sticks of butter!
He struggles every day just to breathe. You can see from the picture just how critical his situation is.
Thankfully his medical bills are covered, but daily expenses for his family are adding up quickly. Sirius is expected to remain in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NICU) until his due date, which was June 25th. The family's expenses for his stay (including hotel, gas, food, and basic necessities) have been estimated at approximately $10,000. The expenses for Sirius' needs and after-care are estimated to be in excess of $15,000.
