For Oscar - Sponsor me to run a Marathon

Hi my name is Laura Alligan,
I will be running 26.2 miles in the 2014 London Marathon 13th April 2014.
Although I don't have to run for a good cause, I have decided to raise money to buy specialist equipment for a friend's son, Oscar.
Here is his story:
My name is Oscar Allaker.
I was born almost 6 weeks premature along with my healthy twin sister Amelie.
I have an extremely rare chromosome deletion, in fact I am one of only 6 people in the world with this condition. I will never be able to walk, talk and I have no understanding of the world around me and as such will always need 1"“1 care.
I also have the added complication of being diagnosed with chronic lung disease (which is incurable) and as a result I require oxygen 24/7. I have a suppressed immune system and as such pick up infections all the time. I have had 7 bouts of pneumonia in the past 4 years and as such have frequent stays in hospital. I am under the care of no less than 8 departments at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
As life presents many challenges for me I am in need of specialist equipment to help make my life a little easier, for example a special bed, mobile hoists, ramps etc. I am most in need of a special bed at the moment. By sponsoring Laura to run the Marathon you will help make this a reality and for that my mummy and daddy thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
