Jackie's Midwifery Mission Trip

Dear Family and Friends,
I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. I am now in my third and final year of Midwifery school. The Lord is doing wonderful things and I know that he will continue to be faithful to finish the good work he has started in me, especially this last year of school. As I finish my training, God has given me the opportunity to go to the Philippines, not only to further my education, but also to join Him in his work there as I help save lives.
On September 28Th, I will be departing on a six-week medical mission trip to Davao, Philippines. Here I will be working in a Christian charity birth center which provides free pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care to the community. The need is great as they deliver as many as 1,500 babies a year and provides prenatal care to over 20,000 women annually. While there, I will be working as a primary midwife under supervision helping to ensure these mothers and babies are safe throughout childbirth and during postpartum.
I am hoping to fund this trip through donation. My goal is to raise $4,000 to cover tuition, flights, vaccinations, visa and passport, and childcare while away.
