Tabor Eaton and Diane Faiella, parents of Matt Faiella, were at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where their son Matt had surgery on January 2, 2014 to remove a benign tumor on his spinal cord. After surgery, he started physical therapy but progress was slow. Further tests revealed that Matt has cancer and is returning to Boston Children's Hospital to start treatment. Matt returned home March 21st and unfortunately there were more setbacks and after arriving home Matt had emergency surgery to remove the fluid from his brain.  He is currently at Boston Children's Hospital recovering from this hurdle before he receives treatment for cancer.

Tabor was flying back and forth to be with his son while in Maryland. Tabor had to take time off work and as you can imagine, the financial responsibility is enormous. Tabor has to work to keep his insurance active; therefore, he had to come home to work.  Bringing Matt home was also of importance so that he could receive treatment but also see his family and friends.

Diane, Matt's mother spent the entire time with him. A mother's love is like no other as we all know, and while Matt's siblings are at home, I think it is important that the family is together and Matt can be close to his family for moral support while he is fighting the battle of his life.

We are thankful that Matt is getting the best medical attention necessary, but if possible, we ask for your help to lessen the financial burden on the family and let them focus on the real issue.  We would be forever grateful.
