Help My Student Explore Costa Rica

Help my middle school student raise money to go to Costa Rica this summer. She is an eighth grade student who one day would like to be a marine biologist. She is working hard doing chores for her teachers as well as candy fundraisers, but could use some additional assistance. The entire amount is $2,400. She is asking for $1500 to help with her efforts. When asked why she would like to attend, her response was to explore the rainforest and learn about how humans are impacting their ecosystem as well as more about the culture and economy of the region. She feels this will give her more confidence to travel and meet more people.
