Friends-for-Hope believes that changing the environment of disadvantaged children by schools offering education, health care and basic nutrition, will break generational cycles of illiteracy and poverty.
Friends-for-Hope aims to help the poorest of the poor in countries afflicted by misery, sickness and hardship. In addition, they would like to provide education for children and youth with lasting effects.
Based in Munich, this charity works with Barefoot College and its founder Bunker Roy in India, to support children from underprivileged backgrounds to access Bridge School, which allows them to get enough basic knowledge to enter the schooling system, regardless of their age. The charity has a particular focus on supporting and educating little girls in an effort to break the cycle of teen marriage.
