Dave's third Ride Across America begins June 10th, 2014. He is racing for several reasons. One of his main passions is to raise awareness that age is just a number. After years of stress Dave closed the doors of his large construction business and traded in his tractor for a bike. At that time he was overweight and over stressed. Now, 5 years later lab results just confirmed that he is in the best shape of his life. His desire is to encourage others that they too can get off the couch, become active, and make positive changes in their life and health. At age 63, he will be racing over 3,000 miles and aspires to do this in just 11 days!
But HE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Completing Race Across America (RAAM) is a costly endeavor, there are numerous expenses associated with travel, training, and equipment. HOW CAN YOU HELP DAVE GET ACROSS AMERICA?
(1) Please contribute a financial sum, large or small is needed. You can also contribute goods and services as well. All donations are a tax deductable item since Dave Rides is a non profit, 501c
(2) Please take a moment to "Like" his Dave Rides FaceBook page. This will allow you to keep up to date with his training and his progress. Feel free to invite your friends to this page as well.
(3) Download the app Tractalis and follow him pedal by pedal across America. Show up at a time station to cheer him on. RAAM is definitely a team effort and any way you participate you become part of the team.
In addition, Dave also has a passion to raise awareness and funds to support a couple of different charity organizations: MS, The Child and Family Foundation, and Greenfinity. A certain percentage of all donations will be given to the charity of your choice. Reminder, All donations are a tax deductable item since Dave Rides in a non profit, 501c Company.
