Amiah is waiting for a kidney...

Donation protected
Amiah, who is now 13, was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease in June 2008 when she was only 8 yrs old.  On New Year's Eve of 2008, Amiah underwent surgery at Stanford where they drained a liter of fluid from each kidney; her kidneys were so big that they were touching!!!!  One kidney had completely failed and the other was very compromised.
In January 2009 Amiah was granted a wish by Make A Wish; she chose to go on a shopping spree in Sacramento, CA.
Amiah's family consists of her mom, a 15 yr old sister, a 18 yr old brother, her father and her "stepmom".
Amiah has been upgraded to stage 4 and had a donor match who started to go through the testing but has found some kidney problems of her own which has excluded her from being Amiah's donor.
Amiah is on the active transplant list and her family is just waiting for the call from Stanford advising they have a kidney for her.
Both her mom and dad work full time but there is not enough extra money for the trip down to Stanford.  When the calls come, Amiah, her mom and her dad will head down to Stanford where she will have her surgery.  Amiah will have to stay in the hospital for about a week after her surgery and then will have to stay locally for approximately six weeks, hopefully in the Ronald McDonald house, but if there is not enough room, then Amiah and her mom will have to stay in a near by hotel as well as her dad which will cost money as well as meals, etc.
All money that is raised will go to any out of pocket expenses incurred due to her surgery so her family would like to thank you all in advance for any help that you can give.
