Nicole's Medical Fund

On August 24, 2017 Nicole suffered from a massive stroke and had to be airlifted to another hospital.  The doctors found multiple clots in her brain. While trying to remove them several times this caused her to start bleeding. They tried four different times to remove them but as they removed one another would instantly form. This put Nicole in serious critical condition and they had to stop all surgeries. Nicole's brain started swelling so doctors had to do a emergency Craniotomy and be put on a ventilator. Doctors are saying they have never seen a case like Nicole's before and she is definitely a challenge.  Due to all the bleeding they can't put her on any blood thinners because she could bleed to death. So at this point we aren't sure if any other clots are forming. Nicole is still unresponsive but can squeeze our hands sometimes when we talk to her.  Today is day 4 and there is no change the doctors say she keeps doing a little more everyday but not as much as they would like to see. The latest scans showed that Nicole's right side of her brain is no longer functionable and never will be.  In result of that she may never be able to walk again or use her left side at all.  Nicole's doctors are all great and are constantly watching over her.  We are praying that she will open her eyes soon. Now it's a waiting game waiting for our Nicole to open her eyes and to keep fighting. Doctors will not be able to do anything else until the swelling and bleeding stop. Due to this serious situation her husband Jacob (Salvador Aponte) can not work and has to be here for his wife and also their 9 year old daughter Makayla.  Nicole is a loving caring amazing woman who would do anything for anyone family or not.  Anyone and everyone who knows Nicole knows she is the life of the party always there to make you laugh and to hold you when you cry. Nicole is not just my cousin she is my best friend and her family is hurting terribly and It breaks my heart. They don't need to worry about anything else but Nicole.  This page is a way to show your support by helping them with  medical costs.
