Battling intractable epilepsy

Update - Julian is now almost 17 and a true warrior in the epilepsy world. He's been battling and fighting seizures for some time now and recently was told he is a candidate for brain surgery -
My now 13 year old son, Julian, was diagnosed with an intense form of intractable eplipesy just after this past Christmas at 12 years old. He started suffering from countless debilitating complex partial seizures, which progressed into full tonic clonic / grand mal throughout the day and even more frequent and severe seizures continuously (hourly) while he sleeps. Unfortunately, the seizures force him to hold his breath, not only increasing the danger of each seizure, causing damage to his mental growth as well as increasing the danger of SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy). We have seen numerous neurologists and epileptologists in and around the Los Angeles area as well as the Central Valley and so far we have not been able to find any answers. Due to the lack of understanding of why my son is having so many severe seizures, with no injuries or family history, the treatment is very trial and error. The hit and miss attempts are wracking my sons already exhausted body and the need to find a suitable treatment is getting desperate. This fundraiser would primarily go to buying special equipment for his seizures that would help him be able to sleep in his own bed, as well as one his own without a 24 hour continous watch; a breathing monitor to allow me (or any supervising adult) to ensure he is always breathing as he should; a seizure monitor that can alert for help if his seizure happens to go unnoticed or are too prolonged. The funds would also help cover the growing pile of medical bills and expenses, including doctor visits, costs to and from each visit, medicine costs, alternative treatment costs and miscelaneous eplipetic assistant equipment that can potentially help to improve the overall quality of his day to day life.
