Medical expenses for Tasmanian family

One of our Tasmanian members has a little girl with serious respiratory issues as a result of her reflux. She is frequently admitted to the intensive care unit with life-threatening respiratory events. Her symptoms don't respond to usual respiratory treatment and it is suspected that the underlying cause is her proven uncontrolled reflux. However, proving that respiratory issues are being caused by gastro issues is a matter for a paediatric gastroenterologist and there are none in Tasmania. 

So mum and child need to go to Brisbane (where grandma lives) to seek specialist care. While there will be no accomodation expenses, flights and surgical procedures are expected to be in the vicinity of $1500 to prove the causal link and get something done.

We would like to help them out and that's why we're here. Please help this lovely family find help for their daughter. No amount is too small.
