Marley's jaw surgery

Donation protected

Sunday afternoon on 7/23/17 at 4pm in Washington park my 9 year old papillon Marley was viciously attacked by three unleashed dogs. My friend and I were walking my harnessed and leashed tiny dog when we were charged by the unleashed dogs across the bridge from park play house by the pond. The owner of the dog and myself fought to get the dogs apart. After what seemed like an eternity the white bulldog that got her dropped her. Marley was left on her back shaking and unable to move and bleeding to death. The family with the dogs took the dogs and ran off, on their way up the hill he shouted back to us "she's fine, keep walking." I then rushed my girl to the 24 hour emergency vet in latham. They immediately gave her pain management and fluids because she lost so much blood. After x-rays it was determined her jaw was broken off and only two surgeons in the state felt comfortable dealing with such a complex jaw injury. We rushed to Cornell that night. She had her first surgery 7/25/17 and came home the next night. The vet bills are high and after her second surgery scheduled on September 20th the bills will be around 6,000. I have reached more than half my goal. Any little bit helps if you are able.
