Help Fred get his wheels

Frederick or Fred for short is a 7 year old miniature long-haired Dachshund. He was rescued at the age of 5 and has been the center of attention ever since. His spirit and charm has earned him many nick names including "Fredrico Suave."

On Saturday March 15th, Fred suffered injuries to his L2 & L6 vertabrae, partially paralyzing him. While Fred's chance of a full recovery are good, the longevity of having both working legs without surgery is slim. 

After a lot of consideration of all situations, we have decided to opt out of a stressful and very costly surgery and provide Fred with a custom wheelchair. While for the first few months, he will need to be on pain control and anti-inflammatories, his quality of life on wheels is expected to be a great one. 

Fred's spirit has not diminshed and he doesn't even know there is an injury, with time and lots of love, he'll be wheeling his way around life, happy and as charming as ever. 

Please help us spread the word about Fred and any dollar that you can spare, will get us closer to his custom set of wheels and him being able to come out of his 24/7 crate rest. 

All money donated will go directly to his medical expenses and cost of his wheels, including: x-rays, office exams, bloodwork, medicines, custom wheel chair and a stroller for the extra long walks.
