Help A Mother In Need

Hello, my name is Madison Roath and I live in Savannah, GA. I’ve been here for over a year now and have had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people. Most recently I have come across a woman who is kind, a woman who is strong, and a woman who needs our help. 

This individual has been dealt a difficult hand, but not once has her determination to give her children a good life wavered. This specific person walks to work, most of the time late at night, while someone watches her FOUR babies, so that she can put food on their table everyday. 

I’m talking about someone who wants a better life for herself and her kids. Someone who has recently found herself in a tough domestic situation, but has pulled herself out of it. Due to privacy reasons I cannot disclose the details, but believe me when I say this woman has been through more than any young single mom should. But at the end of the day, she’s choosing to better herself and she’s choosing her children. 

This mom does not have transportation to and from work, hence why she has to walk so late at night. My immediate goal this holiday would to be able to give her babies the gift of Christmas. To be allowed to give them toys and books, arts and crafts, anything to show them that just because their mom is in a hard spot, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be allowed to be kids. After that, my secondary goal would to be able to give her enough for a large Uber gift card, or ultimately enough for a used car to get them where they need to go.

We have GOT to do more. Here we have a young mom who loves fiercely, provides for her children, and never complains; yet she’s been fighting this silent battle alone and I for one am done watching that happen.
