Hi, my name is Brittney, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend, Chloe.

As most of you know, Chloe is my one year old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd and she is truly the light of my life. From the moment I brought her home, she has filled every single day with joy, laughter, and love. She has the sweetest, most intelligent personality, and the funniest little quirks like her obsession with herding leaves whenever the wind blows. She’s more than just a pet to me... Chloe is my family, my baby, and my source of comfort through every season of life. She's my soul dog. And I believe if you've met her, you can't help but to love her. Recently, Chloe started limping and after vet visits and X-rays and a second opinion we got the heartbreaking news that she has a torn her cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in her back left leg, which is similar to a torn ACL in humans. So you can imagine the pain she's in. Without surgery, Chloe will live in pain, be unable to run, play, or even walk without struggling. Not to mention she will be at risk of arthritis at the young age of 2 and have a higher risk of tearing her other CCL from compensating with the other leg.

Chloe is just a baby, she should be chasing balls, going on adventures, and enjoying her puppyhood not stuck inside the house suffering from an injury like this.

The estimated cost for Chloe’s surgery, recovery, and necessary follow up care is $6,423. Every donation no matter the size will go directly toward helping Chloe get the medical care she needs to walk, run, and play again pain free. Her recover is 8-12 weeks long

I hate to ask but I also know it's okay to get help sometimes. My fiancé and I are also in the process of buying our first home, which should be an exciting time for us, but this unexpected medical expense has added a heavy burden we weren’t prepared for.
