John Scott Casto II, 37 of Hurricane, passed away on the morning of December 13, 2017 at home as a result of a sudden and unexpected heart attack.
John was born and raised in Nitro and graduated from Nitro High School in 2000. After graduation, John pursued his education in nursing but also started various business ventures in real estate, assisted living, and auto care. John was a young entrepreneur, who loved business and aspired to be great. John's perseverance, grit and determination to work hard was unwavering - to proud to ever ask for a handout.
John loved the gym, and was an avid weightlifter. He enjoyed spending time with friends, his son and cuddling on the couch with his wife. John enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hunting and riding ATVs at his father's Big Jon's farm in Red House.
Above all, John loved the Lord and his family. He was a child of God who acknowledged his sin and need for a savior, Jesus Christ. John's walk was far from perfect, but his commitment to lay down his life for others was unquestionable. If you knew John then you knew he would do anything, or give up anything, to help you if you were in need.
