Band Trip to London New Year's Parade

Donation protected
The South Paulding High School marching band has been invited to play in London's New Year's Day parade. I need to raise $2500 dollars in order for me to go, and I need your help. I became very ill in 2011, and since then money has been very tight. Halfway through 8th grade, I went from 117 lbs. to 97 lbs., and eventually dropped to 84 lbs. putting me almost 30 lbs. underweight with no clue why I lost so much weight so quickly. This is when I started to have stomach issues and had my first procedure February 8th, 2012. I have now had almost 10 procedures since then, which include colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, MRE, video pill cam, routine EEG, 72 hour EEG, and an esophageal monometry. We have found out that I have had ulcers and bleeding in my intestines, but my gastroenterologist is still unsure of my diagnosis but believes it will eventually turn into an autoimmune disease. Later, in November 2012, I started to have knee problems, which turned out to be from Chondromalacia, which is the wearing away of the cartilage. After finding that out, I had to go through three months of physical therapy, and will be starting physical therapy again at the end of March. In December 2012, I started to have seizures. This went on until April of 2013 when I was diagnosed with atypical absence epilepsy and myoclonic epilepsy. Later in 2013, I started to have odd discoloration in my feet and legs. They would turn purple and blue from my toes to halfway up my legs. The pain I had with it was excruciating. I couldn't even walk getting out of the shower. We found out I had Raynaud's Phenomenon. A few months later I was tested for Lupus. The test came back negative, but we found out I was anemic and I was diagnosed with Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome. Since then I have been in pain management at Children's Healhcare of Atlanta. Due to some of these life long illnesses, I am on eight  medications along with iron supplements and numerous vitamins. Just the monthly costs alone take their toll with prescription costs totalling over $250 a month, and co-pays over $200 a month at doctor visits. That is $5400 a year, not including medical bills for my procedures. With the help of my doctors, and supportive parents, I am figuring out how to live life as normally as possible.  That is why this trip is so important to me. Your help in making this trip a reality is one way I can inspire others and live my life as any other teenager. I really hope you will donate to make this trip become possible. It is really the oppurtunity of a lifetime that I will never be able to do except for now. Thank you :)
