Help for my Ukrainian Family

Donation protected
Dear American Friends,
My name is Lora and I am a PhD student in Science Education at Michigan State University. I came to this country 10 years ago to study Chemistry at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Thanks to the generous help and support from American people, who donated money to help me cover my educational expenses, my dream of becoming a professor is well underway now. I am grateful to this wonderful country and it's people for everything they have done for me.
I am originally from Ukraine and my family (parents and 14-year old brother) live in Kharkov, Ukraine. As a result of corrupted criminals who were at power for the last couple of years, today the country is in ruins. There are no jobs and people are not getting paid. Violence and crime waves are flooding the streets; there is nobody to protect the local population. Schools are closed because the situation on the streets is very dangerous, so students like my brother can't attend classes. The prices for food and utilities are rapidly going up.
My parents used to be small business owners. They opened their business using loan they took out on their house. They used to manufacture and sell winter coats. As a result of corruption and injustice their business was taken away from them and my parents lost all the money they had. This is all I can share about the situation because I am concerned about the well being of my family. There are no jobs in Ukraine now, no way to get money and feed your family. In addition, my parents are in danger of losing their home because their loan is still not paid off.
Today I once again call to the American people with hope. Please help me raise some money and send it to my family, so that they can keep food on the table and their house warm. I will transfer all the money you send to my family in Ukraine. It will help them pay some of their house loan, buy food and pay the bills that are accumulating every day. In addition, Ukrainian currency is very unstable nowadays, so sending money in US dollars will ensure that they money that you donate will keep it's value and serve a long way to help my family. I really appreciate your help and support, God bless you and your families!
