Help Dexter Walk Again
Donation protected
On Tuesday, November 26th Dexter’s hind legs suddenly gave out. After rushing him to emergency vet, we discovered that he had ruptured a disc in his back. After a night in the emergency vet on IV medication he did not regain any feeling in his hind legs and they advised that, without surgery, he had only a 5% chance of recovery.
We were lucky enough to be able to borrow money to get him the surgery he needed, but now we’re asking for your help. He’s looking at a long road to recovery, and we aren’t sure if he’ll walk again. His vet bill so far has been about $7,000, without the first night of emergency treatment.
Anything helps. Even if you’re just able to share a link to our fundraiser that is very much appreciated.
Where money will be used:
- Initial emergency veterinary clinic treatment: $1,136
- Emergency neurology consult, MRI, spinal surgery, days in ICU care, other recovery related costs: $7,609
- Future costs such additional days in ICU as well as future physical therapy and wheelchair if needed
Thank you so much!
