Hello,
My sister and I are asking for funding to help our mother and father with the overwhlming amount of medical bills and cost of her phemonectomy surgery, along with various household and monthly expenses. Our mother Kellie, 52, is an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother . She by trade is a surgical assistant, and cannot wait to get back to life as she knows it. She has been unable to work for the past three months and therefore, our parents savings has been depleted having to pay various medical bills and costs associated with procedures, office visits and medications. In Dec 2013 she was misdiagnosed with simple pneumonia, to find out weeks later it was Non-small Cell Stage 3 Lung Cancer. She has insurance through the new Healthcare Reform Act, however none of her medical bills have been covered, as her doctors she started her journey with are not covered under her plan. If she were to start over now she would be set back several months and the reality of the cancer spreading in that time is to great a risk to consider. She has been given a great prognosis considering she is candidate for surgery. After surgery, she will only have to have a short round of Chemotherapy, then hopefully go into remission past five years. We ask humbly for your love, help and support in this very difficult and emotional time. The monies donated will be used to pay the $4000.00 surgeons bill and one months rent and car payment. Our father, Bill is doing everything he can to make sure we are all taken care of, but we know it is hard to manage all on his own. Any help recieved would be more than a blessing. It's a diffulcult thing to reach out and ask others for help in these kinds of trying times. We are hoping to relieve the stress and burden we are exeriencing by reaching out. Our family appriciates all of you love and support, more than we can ever truly express.
