Surviving Student Teaching

Donation protected
I am a non-traditional Special Education Major in my Student Teaching semester. I am a single mom of an outstanding young man. I have been living each semester by using my student loans to pay the bills so that I could work less and focus on school. This semester, my final semester, I do not have that luxury. I experienced some difficulties, including some minor health issues that have extended my time in college. Due to this, my federal Pell grants and loans have run out, just when I need them the most. I have exausted my tax refund on living expenses and just need help to get through the next few months.
I am traveling to a school 40 miles away for my student teaching, in an older vehicle, which is adding fuel expense to my already strained budget. This also means that I cannot just pick up extra hours at work, as I am gone from before 7am until after 4:30 pm at least. I can only really work on weekends and often work 9 and 10 hour shifts. I choose to work one hour less each weekend to leave me time to go to church, as I feel that the benefit of that additional hour is not worth the damage that could occur in my soul and psycological state in choosing work over my belief.
This money would go toward, rent, utilities, car insurance, fuel, and food for myself and my son.
Thank you for reading my story and if you choose to assist me, thank you and God bless you. I hope to be able to pay it forward when my financial situation improves.
