Kenner Guardian Angels is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 youth basketball organization established in 2012. We are a 7th grade boys team affiliated with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) of the United States, Inc.
In addition to players gaining valuable basketball skills, our organization is aimed at teaching teamwork, social skills and the importance of family. Last season we teamed up with Children’s Hospital to teach the kids about Growing Up which is a class about their anatomy. They also had to write two paragraphs on what career they are interested in other than sports and why they’re interested in that career. This season we plan to take the players on field trips to visit local colleges that correspond with the career paths they’ve chosen.
In the Fall we raised funds by working concession stands at the Superdome and we’re currently raising funds by selling World’s Finest chocolate. We are asking for your financial support to help defray the cost of a 10 tournament season, uniforms, sneakers, basketballs, tournament fees, lodging, travel & meals. We ask you to invest in the future of these exceptional young boys. In addition to our cost of having a 10 tournament season, we will be competing in the “YBOA Summer Bash” in San Antonio, TX, the week of June 19-23, 2015. Our goal is to raise $6,000.
Your support will help us create positive experiences that will influence their development on and off the court. Any amount you are able to give is greatly appreciated and tax deductible. No amount is too small.
