Aloha Family and Friends! We would like to ask for your support in helping Jacob with his ongoing medical expenses. Jacob has been diagnosed with a rare eye disease called Keratoconus. There is a few different treatments for this condition, if it is caught at an early stage. However, Jacob has already been told by doctors that he's beyond the use of corrective lenses and will require surgery and/or a cornea transplant. This WILL NOT be covered by his insurance!
Some of the unknown facts about his condition and procedures he will face are: TIME-It's not known how long this disease will take to worsen or heal. It's also unknown how long Jacob will be able to have his vision. COST:Doctor bills are already being stacked up. His insrance WILL NOT cover the cost of seeing an eye specialist in this field and WILL NOT cover any procedures that he will need to have. RESULTS:Like anything else in life, nothing is guaranteed. Surgery may or may not fix the problem, which will result in a last case scenario, which is a cornea transplant.
Some known facts are: Jacob will be having a lot of doctor visits which will all be out of pocket!. His entire surgical procedures will also be out of pocket! Jacob will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. Jacob is also expecting his second child in a few months. Most importantly, if nothing is done about this, Jacob will eventually go blind!
