Dear Friends,
On Christmas Eve day of last year, Karen Coakley was diagnosed with a tumor on her optic nerve. This has been a life changing event for Karen and her family.
Karen has worked at Staples for 13 years and is an extremely dedicated employee. Personally, she impressed me right from the start, being a "take charge gal." She comes to the office early, leaves late, and gets the job done:and gets it done right, no matter what it takes. Not only is she fantastic as a professional, but she is personally one of the most thoughtful and caring people that I've ever known. Karen not being at Staples to work with us each day and giving it her all has been very difficult for her.
Due to the tumor, Karen has lost a significant amount of her equilibrium and as a result, it has been very difficult for her to get around without some assistance. We are all praying that she can be cured, however, Karen's doctors are recommending a costly radiation treatment. Although she has Staples' Cigna insurance coverage, it will still be very costly between the two yearly deductibles, as this treatment and many follow-up visits into Boston will roll into our next health year calendar.
I'm asking for any donation that you can make to help Karen. Ten dollars. Fifty dollars. One hundred dollars. Five hundred dollars. Whatever you can give will be welcomed and received with deep appreciation.
