Dog Rescue Worker Needs YOUR Help!!

ATTENTION DOG LOVERS!PLEASE SHARE THIS! THIS HAPPENED TO MY PERSONAL FRIEND AND THE MORE PEOPLE THAT SEE IT CAN ONLY HELPI know this is long but please help my friend who was seriously injured during a dog rescue. Time is short and urgency is high. My friend was on one of her many rescue to transport a dog when tragedy struck. Unknown to her the dog she was receiving was a dog that spent most of his/her life feral. Which isn't that uncommon for the area he came from. When the woman that transported him from New Mexico took him out of the crate using nothing but what can be described as a string. He immediately started attacking the poor woman. She also required medical attention. My friend being who she is didn't waste a second and got the dog off of the woman. But now she has this terrified dog on a string who probably thought he was in real danger. After a period of time she manage to calm him down and she attempted to put a real collar on as he was having no part of going in another crate. Even though she knew the dangers of such a maneuver she ignored her own safety in order to both save the people who had gathered and the dog itself. So she ignored her instincts. The results: the dog shredded her face. It will take a minimum of $2,500 for surgery. A much more expensive procedure will obviously do a much better job of recovering her sense of dignity. I have listed her selfless acts of kindness that I could think of off the top of my head. I'm quite sure the list is MUCH longer. The shelter the dog came from has offered no assistance even though it's quite obvious they must have had some knowledge as they now admit that only one shelter employee had gained his trust and was able to handle him. I know some will think lawsuit or something of the kind but she doesn't have the time, nor is she even now thinking along those lines. This needs to be done now. The rescue group she is involved with http://www.petsamaritan.org/ has already donated 1200 dollars and others have offered but hoping putting this online will bring in more. I contacted my bank and yes they would be more than happy to set up a fund. However you have to send donations via certified check and my thinking is while people would want to help, more people would help if it was a click of a button and you're done. If you have made it this far reading this I THANK YOU!1. Has personal trained and place well over 1000 dogs that otherwise would have been euthanized. At her own expense.2. Has driven at least 100,000 miles several states away countless times.3. 15+ years of giving her all to abandoned dogs, her rescue group said they always gave her the hard cases with incredible success.4. Other than accepting food donations has done all her work purely on a volunteer basis with much personal sacrifice.5. Was a one woman unrelenting force in enacting a number of Animal Rights ordinances that previously where nonexistent and the conditions in shelters in her area were hideous to be kind.6. She secured a 10,000 dollar grant to help those who could not afford to spay/neuter their pets.7. She secured money from the city to not alone vaccinate but cover veterinary care for injured or sick animals that did not have life threatening issues.8. Of the dogs/cats that did have to be euthanized she held them and comforted each and every one of them so they didn't die alone and scare.9. She lost her job at the shelter for one keeping animals alive past their "expiration" date. And political issues due to money she was demanding from the county. She didn't make friends with some of them. The city was in budget trouble and commissioners felt the money was better spent elsewhere. (You know like beautifying the parks, streets and such).10. She at one time had built and maintained kennels at her own house for up to 20 dogs that she felt were adoptable and found homes for them from her own house11. I have personally seen her wash and groom up to 50 (probably more) dogs give them the best chance at being adopted at one of the countless pet adoption events she attended.12. This is a woman who doesn't do this as a hobby or when it is convenient, she will go without food, use her vacation time, and even take unpaid time off to feed, train and place these dogs. If you are interested I believe others can visit her facebook page and see some of the dogs she has helped she is listed as Kim Moffitt Farley. Most of the dogs were listed on petfinder.com under her rescue group's name. Message me if you would like more information. And please SHARE!The Photos above are the same dog.  Like I said she takes the dogs that are the "tough" cases and gives them the happy ending they deserve. I wrote this up in a hurry because time is essential.  Please forgive any grammar errors or mispellings I might have missed.
