John Parkerson Fund

John Parkerson, my beloved Aunt Katie's husband, and a veteran, had been dealing with a cold that turned into pneumonia.  Last week, when the V.A. doctors x-rayed his chest, they found a terrible and startling discovery: he had stage 4 lung cancer.  It was the worse the doctors had ever seen in a patient not previously diagnosed with this type of cancer.  Given six weeks to put his affairs in order, John and his family are struggling just to make it through each day.  I started this page to try to help them with the high nursing care bills for the around the clock care he will soon need. They have always been hard-working and never take anything from anybody, and would not ask for a penny.  But I know that without any help, they will not be able to get the nursing care he, and frankly, my aunt, will need to take care of him in his final days.  Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will go a long way to lifting this burden from their shoulders.
