Alex's Medical Treatment

     Alex was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly from Torticollis in utero. We have been taking him to physical therapy to help him with turning his head to the right and to be able to roll over and hit his develoment mile stones.  
    Our next goal is to get his treatment band for his head. He is currently classified as severe in regards to having one side of his head mishaped from being unable to turn his head only to one side. The left side of his head is round and protruding and the right side is flatened to the point where his cheek bones on one side push forward and one ear is not asymmetrical.
     This makes balance and supporting his head on his little neck difficult and could continue to get in the way of his development. It is also a saftey issue in the future if he would want to ride a bike like a normal child as a helmet will not fit.
     Currently our insurance will not cover any of the costs and his twin sister is also being looked at for nerological issues. The money will go to getting his band, weekly appointments for development and continuted treatment and reshaping which should be for 4 months. Any help is greatly appreciated as many of you know it is tough for me to ask for help.
