She's been with me for 9 years. Through thick and thin. We've lost boys, her sweet sister, Savannah (again to cancer) and traveled from YYC to YYZ. She has saved my life in more ways than one and now it's my turn to save hers. She's not "just a dog." She's been my best friend, my confidant, my family. She was my baby before I had a child. My heart is aching that I can't provide for her now, when she needs me most.
Our sweet girl Sully has a large mast cell tumor on her left leg. Once golf ball sized and soft, it literally grew to a soft ball sized ulcerating tumor overnight. It's a mess. So are we.
The surgery is $1300. While we are loathed to ask for monetary assistance, I am the only one working, while my husband, Brad stays home and raises our two year old child. Which means we don't have savings for urgent, life saving events like this.
We ask for you support in sharing this, or a small donation of even one dollar to go towards her surgical costs and recovery of at minimum three weeks.
Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. If we don't get it done quickly, I fear for her pain and suffering. Quality of life is of utmost importance...The alternative to surgery is having her quietly and safely put to sleep. It is not something I am ready to do, or that is even necessary if surgery is an option. Without your help, there isn't any hope.
If, by chance the surgery time is less and the entirety of the funds raised is not required, the remaining funds will go to Raincoast Dog Rescue.
