Taking care of My Sweet Mom

dear friends & family ~ as many of you know my precious mom was diagnosed with a rare & uncommon form of cancer, "gallbladder cancer" back in october 2013 ! i want to share her first reaction and question to her doctor when he told her and dad! crying she ask "what will i tell my only child and my 3 grandboys ?" my dad fell to his knees and held moms hand they cried for a time , gathered themselves as much as they could and drove home . dad called me crying and told me i needed to come to their home , i went right over to learn the life-changing & heartbreaking news . i called my sons and all 3 came running ,& billy as well we laid on the bed with mom all crying for hours . when it was time to leave we said a prayer and knew we had a long journey ahead of us all ! my parents aren't well off and medicare only covers 80% of what they approve to cover , moms medications are very expensive , her medical bills are pilling up daily , but mom is not alone in her fight to beat this horrible aggressive disease we are with her every step of the way ! i stayed the night with mom the night we found out , she and i decided then and there we would never give up no matter how bad the odd's were ! since her original diagnosis she has had a major surgery to open her up remove all the area around where the gallbladder was , removal of all lymph nodes several were cancerous and her liver was sliced in 3 different places & biopsied no cancer was found in the liver !she has been hospitalized five times since her first surgery to remove the gallbladder. she has had many setbacks , doctor errors , infections , etc.... many friends have prayed and offered help and we appreciate every one of y'all ! cancer not only affects you physically but mentally and sadly financially as well ! i humbly ask if you are in a position to donate and feel led to do so and please continue to pray for healing for mom and strength and understanding for our whole family ! i love y'all ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ josh.1:9 "be strong and courageous! do not be afraid or discouraged .for the lord your god is with you wherever you go" love , ginger
