Baby Dreams Through IVF

Many of you may know that Amy & Justin have been trying for a baby for a while. They have been together for 11 years now and have always dreamed of having a family. 10 years ago, they stopped birth control and within the last years, they have started working closely with doctors. They have undergone all kinds of testing to find out why they couldn't conceive and then tried 6 months of clomid cycles. Eventually, the doctors told them that they would need to see specialists. Unfortunately, health insurance does not cover any form of infertility treatments for Amy & Justin. After meeting with their doctor, several more tests and a surgery to remove a uterine polyp, they were told that IVF would be their only option. Conception seemed to be the issue so the doctors were confident that IVF would work.
In October 2013, Amy began hormone treatments. A few days before the egg retrieval surgery, their doctor recommended that they cancel the cycle because the hormones were not producing enough follicles. She did not think they would get more than a couple eggs and recommended that they try a more aggressive treatment to produce as many eggs as possible.
In November & early December 2013, Amy & Justin tried again with nearly double the hormones. The doctor was able to retrieve 16 eggs but because of the increased hormones, Amy's body reacted by going into hyperstimulation and accumulated fluid around the ovaries and uterus. This forced them to postpone the transfer and freeze all or their eggs. 13 of them survived the fertilization process and then 7 of those survived the freezing.
In January 2014, hormone treatments began again and on Jan 29th, they underwent the transfer. 10 days later, they received wonderful news that they were pregnant. About a week and a half after the positive pregnancy test, Amy miscarried. The news was heartbreaking but both Amy & Justin are staying strong and hopeful. They both want to try again but are now struggling to afford another try. Due to the polyp removal surgery, cancelled cycle and postponed transfer, their saving and inheritance money have disappeared.
