Rainier Beach Cheer Squad to New York!

Dear Potential Donor,
The Rainier Beach Cheer Squad has a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to New York and cheer on our boys basketball team during the Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament, where they will be playing for a national title and the number one spot.
Rainier Beach HS does not have the funding to send the cheerleaders on the trip. The boy's basketball team is sponsored by the tournament and the cheerleaders are on their own to get there.
This being a once in a lifetime opportunity we would love to be there for them, like we have all year long, but being an inner city school with no funding and a lot of single income families we are in need of financial assistance, we are asking for your support in helping us get to New York.
The cost is about $7000 for airfare, hotel, and transportation. There are twelve cheerleaders and two chaperones. We know this is short notice but we did not secure a spot in the tournament until we won state last Saturday.
The tournament is April 2nd through April 5th, with 8 of the top teams in the nation. We would be very grateful for any donations or assistance you could provide. Any donations you make, no matter how small, will certainly make a difference.
