Tragedy struck for our family last week, when Neil and Kristy Basinger delivered their twin boys (Eli and Oliver) at 16 weeks.
Anyone who knows Neil and Kristy knows how excited they are to have children. We were all heartbroken for them as the events played out.
What everyone might not realize is that in order to conceive, Neil and Kristy first had to go through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). They had A LOT invested in the pregnancy, both emotionally and financially.
Now with the added medical expenses (only partially covered by insurance) of multiple hospitalizations for Kristy, deliveries of Eli and Oliver, and the cost to lay the bodies of little Eli and Oliver to rest, the bills start to add up quickly.
The aim of this campaign is simply to make the tragedy of losing Eli and Oliver a tiny bit easier for Neil and Kristy by helping to reduce the financial burden of it.
Let us - friends and family to Neil and Kristy - help them to focus on dealing with their loss without also having the burden of covering medical and funeral costs.
