New York Mission Trip

My name is Cole Laws, I have committed to bringing the gospel to NYC with my team through SBU’s Center of Global Connections. We will be teaming with Graffiti 2 ministries to serve and care for the young students of the South Bronx, and bring the love of Christ to their community.

A couple months ago after committing to this mission trip, I received the news that some anonymous individuals were teaming with a donor to fund my trip. This was incredible news, and meant I would not have to worry about fundraising for my trip at all. However, a few days ago, I received the news that because of unknown circumstances, these individuals will not be able to follow through with this plan. I am not at all frustrated by this, because I know Christ is very intentional with everything he does. I also know that he is more than able to provide for me, no matter the obstacles or limited amount of time. That being said, I need to raise $1400 in a couple weeks. This is a daunting task, but as I said earlier, I am fully confident in him who can provide all things.

I am calling on every resource I have available, to prayerfully consider helping me raise this money to bring the gospel to New York. No amount is too small, if you only feel comfortable giving $5, it will still be used to advance God’s kingdom and bring the gospel to the lost people of this city. If you are unable to provide financially, your prayers for my team and I are just as great, if not greater, of a contribution. I ask that you pray for me and consider if the Lord would call you to give towards this mission in any way, as I obey Christ in his great commission. Please feel free to also share this message with your church, life group, friends and family, etc, to reach as many people as possible.
