Megan's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Megan Stehman is a single mom of 3 children Kylee age 10, Jaiden age 6 and Mollie Mae age 4.  Megan’s recent and unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer was a shock to this young family.  Due to the type of cancer, it has impacted her liver as well. Megan is 27 years old and works full time as a medical assistant for Community Health and Dental Care. She supports and takes care of her children.  Megan cares for others on a daily basis and knows the health challenges facing her and the impact of this on her children.  Megan is a kind, considerate and caring person, a loving mom and gives of herself back to our local communities helping others.

As you can imagine, the holidays were filled with love and tears. From the kindness of her family and co-workers, Megan and the kids were able to have a Christmas to remember.  Megan received her full work up and will begin her clinical trials at Fox Chase Cancer Center this week.  Megan will be having chemotherapy weekly and taking 3 biological pills at home.  Megan will be unable to work for a period of time and is in need of financial help to keep up with her bills and caring for her children.
